BAKERY AND CAFÉ OPERATING SYSTEM

One menu for the counter, the website and the market.

Add a loaf once, then sell it at the counter, online or at the market. Today’s orders and tomorrow’s bake sheet use the same stock count.

WHAT IT IS

A loaf has one price and one stock count.

ONE PRODUCT LIST

Sell it once. The count changes once.

The café register and online store read the same menu and stock ledger. Market sales join that ledger when the device syncs. Prices and product details are entered once.

TOMORROW’S BAKE

Print the bake sheet before you leave.

Pre-orders, Loaf Club pickups and the daily bake list land on one sheet. Print it at night or open it when the ovens come on.

THE STOREFRONT

Your menu already has a website.

Change the menu, hours, photographs and wording on the page customers see. Pre-orders, subscriptions and payments use the same products as the register.

A FAMILIAR SETUP

The website has one menu. The register has another.

Market sales come home on a separate device. Stock gets corrected in a spreadsheet, and the bake sheet is written again at night.

In Basil, each item has one record. The storefront and register read it directly. Orders feed the bake sheet. Market sales record without a signal and update the ledger after the device reconnects.

A CLOSER LOOK

Edit the menu, count stock, run Loaf Club and sell offline.

THE MENU

Edit the page customers are looking at.

Open Pages & content, click the wording or photograph, and save. The menu, hours, story and prices change on the storefront.

INVENTORY LEDGER

Restocks, sales and waste stay in the ledger.

Each change gets its own line instead of replacing the last count. Reorder points show which shelves need attention.

LOAF CLUB

The regulars choose their pickup day.

Members choose their loaf, frequency and pickup day. Due orders appear on the bake sheet, and the pickup notice goes out when the order is ready.

MARKETS AND OFFLINE

Sell at the market without a signal.

Save the stock you are taking before you leave. The market register records sales, tips and receipts offline, then syncs them when the signal returns.

START OF DAY

Open the bake sheet. Today’s orders are already on it.

Pre-orders and Loaf Club pickups are grouped by day. The register opens with the same products and counts. When a tray is ready, update the stock once and the storefront reads the new count.

Before a market, save a local snapshot of what you are taking. Sales keep recording without a signal and sync after the device reconnects.
